Getting set up
How long does it take to set up?
About two minutes. Claim your relay.ly link, pick your trade, and Relay generates your page, booking flow, and dashboard. No website builder, no integrations to wire.
Can I use my own domain?
Your Relay page lives at relay.ly/your-business for free. On higher tiers you can connect a custom domain.
Can I edit my page after it's generated?
Yes — open the website editor from your dashboard, tap any text or photo to change it, then publish.
What if my trade isn't listed?
New playbooks ship all the time. Claim your link, pick the closest trade, and reach out — we'll build yours.
Payments & pricing
Do I need my own Stripe or Square?
Yes — and that's the point. Payments run through your own account, so money goes straight to you. Relay is the glue, never the middleman.
What does it cost?
The whole platform is free while we're in early access, with limited usage. RelayLeads Pro — a done-with-you concierge build — is there when you want it.
Does Relay take a cut of my jobs?
No. Your own Stripe or Square standard processing fees apply, and every dollar goes straight to you.
How do deposits and no-show protection work?
You set a deposit — flat or percentage — collected at booking. Customers who have money down show up; when they don't, you've been paid for the slot.
Messaging & reminders
How do customers get reminders?
Relay sends automatic confirmations and reminders by text and email. Until you connect your own number, messages go out “via Relay.”
Do my customers need an app or a login?
No — every booking comes with a link where they can reschedule, cancel, or pay. No app, no password, no phone tag.
Will I know the moment a lead comes in?
Yes — every new lead pings your phone the second it lands, with the details attached.
Data & trust
Is my customers' data safe?
Customer contact details are encrypted at rest, with the encryption key held outside the database, and deleted automatically on a retention timer. Every read and write is checked against your business — we store only what a booking needs.
